LEARNING DESIGN DONE RIGHT, VIRTUALLY

The fundamental definition of an effective leader has changed. What talent wants – and demands – from today’s leaders will dictate which firms end up on top. Our seminal program, Leadership Foundations, provides incoming and existing law firm leaders with the skills, tools and understanding to leverage this shift to their advantage.

Elevating Your Leadership Game: What You Will Learn

This fully virtual program teaches leaders to elevate their performance, motivate talent, engage clients and positively impact firm culture and growth without sacrificing days out of the office. As a learner, you will develop:

  • The self-awareness and savvy to be more effective leaders

  • The skills to cultivate culture, deliberately and intentionally, in a hybrid work environment

  • Techniques to ignite and motivate change in others and the firm

  • Proven ways to identify and manage conflict

  • Approaches to create a high-impact vision and motivate change

  • The tools to establish goals and solve problems creatively and collaboratively

It has been surprisingly impactful just spending time thinking about leadership and how best to lead. Without dedicated time to do that, I would just continue doing the things I do.
— Current leader, AmLaw 200 firm

Relevant, Timely and Practical: The Program Experience

The program kicks off with an orientation during which leaders will learn about and discuss the dynamic changes across the legal industry and the impact these have on the future of law firms, their clients and their talent.

This comprehensive program includes:

  • Live Virtual Sessions: Six virtual 90-minute instructor-led segments with collaborative group discussions, interactive exercises and engaging breakouts, once per month on schedule
  • Collaborative Learning Teams: Small groups of 3 to 4 learners sharing experiences and preparing for subsequent sessions through assignments, self-directed schedule by team members
  • Individual Application Assignments: Short exercises and self-reflection activities that draw on real-life situations to improve self-awareness in everyday life, completed individually when most convenient for you
  • Capstone: An independent project drawing on the full course to establish a concrete action plan for change, done in collaboration with learning teams throughout the program
